Update: New York City Council Overrides Mayor Bloomberg’s Earned Sick Time Act Veto
As we noted in our last newsletter, the New York City Council has in fact overrode Mayor Bloomberg’s veto to the Earned Sick Time Act. Lawmakers voted 47 to 4 to override the veto and provide paid sick leave for workers beginning April 1, 2014.
