FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) Law & Compliance

The core federal law that controls wages, overtime, and hours worked is the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor vigorously enforces the FLSA, and frequently issues regulations that modify the law. State and local governments may also create their own legislation or agency regulations to expand the rights of employees beyond the requirements of the FLSA. We remain current on these laws and regulations to ensure that clients are compliant with the complexities of wage and hours law.
