Jules has significant experience in employee relations, human resources policies and
programs, and legal compliance. Before establishing Halpern Employment Law Advisors,
Jules held various senior level human resources and employment law roles within major
corporations. He was Senior Director of Employee Relations and employment law counsel
at Random House, Inc., the senior employment attorney at The Home Insurance Company
and its affiliated companies, and a human resources consultant.
Jules is a 1977 graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law and a summa
cum laude graduate of Brooklyn College, where he was a member of the Scholar's
Program. He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York and the United
States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Bob has been in private practice for over 25 years, and represents employers before
Federal, State and Local civil rights agencies and in Court. Bob was previously a
Managing Partner for one of the largest management and labor law firms in the United
States. He is an AV rated lawyer, which is the highest rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell,
a national directory of attorneys. Bob has published articles on employment law topics
for numerous periodicals, appears in national magazines and on television, and is a
contributing editor to the leading treatise in the field of employment litigation.
Bob graduated Magna Cum Laude, with honors in Economics, from Kenyon College in Ohio
in 1979. In 1982 he graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville,
Tennessee. He is licensed to practice law in the states of New York, Connecticut, Michigan
and Illinois, as well as admitted to nine United States District and Circuit Courts.
Michael S. Katzen, Esq. – Associate

Michael is a 2007 graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, where he was a member
of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal and received his J.D. with a
concentration in labor and employment law. He has been with Halpern Employment Law
Advisors since March 2006, when he joined the Firm as a law clerk.
Michael is a 2004 graduate of the University of Delaware, where he received a
B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice. He is admitted to the practice of law in the
states of New York and New Jersey.
